YIN
The priority programme will form a Young Investigators Network (YIN) to support young researchers on personal and professional level.
The YIN is coordinated by Benedikt Fauseweh (TU Dortmund) and Tobias Stollenwerk (FZ Juelich).
It will establish informal exchange and networking formats for the young researchers involved in the priority programme. The YIN could offer one-to-one and peer mentoring, regular informal exchange events and virtual fireside chats with industry and start-up leaders, targeted professional development courses such as grant writing, project management and science communication, entrepreneurship support including pitch nights and access to university start-up services, summer schools and interdisciplinary communication workshops, as well as small grants for international short-term research visits and pilot projects. These offerings are examples to be discussed and prioritized together with the young investigators so the final programme reflects their needs and interests.
